A Quiet Workhorse That Has Travelled the World BT17G/GR/GC – the First-Series Gas Burner from Baite Burners

Every manufacturer has a starting point. For Baite Burners it was the BT17G/GR/GC family, released in the early 2000s and still requested today under the codes BT17G (single-stage), BT17GR (two-stage) and BT17GC (modulating). No bold claims are needed: the numbers speak for themselves.

Why the range is still specified

  1. Three control philosophies in one casing
    – Single-stage for small steam or hot-water boilers where simplicity outweighs modulation.
    – Two-stage for bakeries, laundries and dye houses that need a repeatable high/low cycle.
    – Mechanical cam-modulating for kilns, dryers and air-heaters where the process temperature must creep quietly up or down.
The change from one mode to another is a 15-minute swap of the servo-cam and wiring loom; no new burner is required.
  2. Air/gas mixing at the blast-pipe
A stainless steel venturi machined to ±0.2 mm tolerance gives a stable pressure drop across the whole turndown range. The flame is short, soft and, in most boilers, < 30 mg NOₓ without additional hardware.
  3. Servo-driven linkage
One single-phase motor drives both fan and cam. Fuel and air tracks remain locked together even when the burner rests in standby, so the next ignition is repeatable within ±2 % excess air. There are no separate actuators to drift out of phase.
  4. Built for suitcase service
The blast-pipe, nozzle and ionisation probe slide out as one cartridge. A technician can exchange the set in five minutes, leaving the burner bolted to the boiler. In regions where skilled labour is scarce this detail is often the deciding factor.

Nothing dramatic—just heat when it is needed, year after year.

If you are replacing an ageing gas burner and prefer a model that has already proved it can live quietly in the background, the BT17G/GR/GC series is still in production and ready to ship. Lead time is generally two weeks ex-works; third-party inspection is welcomed.
