When a boiler room needs more than a stock burner but less than a turbine, the BTN210-250GC Series slips in without drama. The 470–2 650 kW window covers everything from a 2 t/h steam boiler to a 3 MW thermal-oil heater, so one model family can serve an entire site. The casing is only 1.1 m long and lifts off in three pieces, letting two technicians wheel it through a standard doorway and have it firing the same shift.

Two Ways to Run, One Set of Pipes

Plant managers can choose either two-stage progressive or full modulating gas control; the valve train, fan, and programming unit stay identical. Swap the software key on the Siemens LMV37 and the burner changes personality—no re-piping, no new approvals. That future-proofs the purchase if load profiles tighten or carbon taxes rise.

Measured Turndown, Measured Savings

On modulating mode the burner holds a 5:1 turndown without stack hiccups. Cold-Start Reliability Down to –20 °C

The burner head is cast from a high-silicon-aluminium alloy that expands at the same rate as the stainless-steel mixing plates. The fit stays tight, so ignition misfires common on sub-zero mornings disappear. A 7 kV ignition rod sits upstream of the flame stabiliser; even with 50 % propane in the grid gas the spark grabs first cycle, keeping purge time and gas waste to a minimum.

Inside the Combustion Head

A stepped diffuser creates four discrete zones of excess air. At high fire the centre cone runs λ 1.05 while the outer annulus hovers at λ 1.15. The staged chemistry knocks NOx under 60 mg/Nm³ @ 3 % O₂ on straight methane without FGR or catalysts—low enough to meet the 2027 German TA-Luft revision and today’s BREF notes for medium combustion plants.

The LMV37’s Ethernet port broadcasts live data through a built-in JSON stream. Any SCADA, or even a simple Node-Red dashboard, can read firing rate, fan current, and valve-position feedback. When the burner needs attention it pushes a plain-language alert—no fault-code dictionary required. A QR code on the inside of the door opens the multilingual manual to the exact page describing that alarm.
